Up on the Mountain

We made a trip up the mountain. We had too many people to take the four wheeler all the way up to the top, so we drove half way. Chanel, Monte and Bear picked huckleberries, while DD, Darrick and I rode the four wheeler up to the fire look-out. It was a fun day trip.

The look-out from a distance.

Up close and personal.

Aunt Jen and Darrick checking out the look-out.

Chanel is so busy picking berries for Uncle Leroy that she won't even look at the camera.

Monte proud of his take.

Darrick was able to pick a couple of berries.

The Catch 22 of Life and Blogs

I have come to the conclusion that the Catch 22 of life and blogs is this..... you are either too busy with life to update the blog or you have plenty of time but nothing of interest to post. Recently my dilema has been the former. I figured I could justify sitting in my comfy recliner watching the Saturday night chick flick on TBS, if I also updated my blog. Allow me to present a selection of what the Griffin and a Ross (soon-as in 6 months-just the Griffin) family has been up to recently.

Today we had a baby shower for Ashlyn Griffin (soon to be the newest member of Devin, Sarah and Jameson's family).

Sarah enjoying herself.

Cute little mini-robe.

Jameson absolutely LOVED the Slip and Slide.

His friend Anina liked it too.
He would barely hit the dumper before he was up and ready for more sliding.

More Fun at Camp

We went camping for the 4th of July. As always it was a blast. Sun, water, family, friends, good food, camp fire... what else do you need?

Monte couldn't find a fishing license in the area, so he decided to fish for ground trout!
Who woulda thunk, he caught one! Yet we still had burgers for dinner?!
Ruth took Abi for a ride around the campground. Can't figure out who enjoyed it more!
Monte trying out the ginormous cast iron skillet his dad lent us, and I am not kidding around when I say ginormous.

Michelle enjoying the water! I think this is before she got dumped.

Monte hanging out in the floaty.
Abi, who hates the water getting her feet wet. She made big progess that weekend.

Abi playin in the water with daddy (Josh).

Fun at Camp

We have been lucky enough to go camping a couple of times this year. The first trip was a bit cool and overcast so we spent some time in camp playing our new Lasso Golf game. It can be dangerous but it is a ton of fun!

Monte's turn with Michelle waiting patiently.

Finally Michelle's turn.

Tom and Jim are getting the hang of it.
Monte thoroughly enjoying himself.

Update on Baby Wyatt

The other day I realized that I had not been so good about keeping everyone updated on the most recent pictures of Baby Wyatt, sorry, but I have to say I sure am enjoying the pictures- thanks Krista!

Baby Wyatt already proud to be an American!

Okay, not all of them are of Baby Wyatt. Krista with her Birthday cupcake, she turned 26 years old this year. Now she can't make fun of me about being old.

I can't decide if he looks more like his mom or dad with that face.

Such a peaceful sleeping baby!

I know that daddy's hands are big, and Wyatt does a very good job filling those big hands, thus we have a big baby on our hands.
Again, daddy's hands don't look so big.

Day Trip

Monte, Josh, Ruth, Abi and I made a day trip to Northern Oregon last weekend to check out a possible camping spot. Despite the slight detour it was a lot of fun.
Abi snuggling up to Monte when we stopped to stretch our legs.
Josh, Abi and Ruth (the only picture of the day with all three of them more or less smiling: it was the beginning of the day, by the end Abi wasn't up for pictures).

I think I have been replaced, I suppose if it is going to be any woman, I would want it to be her.
Cool bridge at Iminaha campground.

Ruth hanging out enjoying the river.

Monte found his new toy, it is a hand pump water spiket at the campground.
